The Castleman Disease Africa Foundation (CDAF) was established in 2025 as a private non-profit FOUNDATION in Uganda. CDAF works with people with castleman's disease. Priority is idiopathic patients for whom it provides Improved diagnosis, assessment, and outcome measures; and development of other assistive technologies.
CDAF’s rehabilitation program provides therapeutic counselling, management of bed sores, chronically injured nervous and musculoskeletal systems, including repair and recovery of motor and cognitive function.

CDAF’s rehabilitation program also includes physical therapy, pain management, and nutritional support, ensuring personalized care. It connects patients with specialists and support groups for holistic recovery and better disease management.

The Vision of CDAF is that people with Castlemans disease in Uganda and Africa at large, are able to access rehabilitation services that improve their quality of life and that they are fully integrated into society upon recovery.
Our Mission
To be a key player in Uganda and Africa in research, preventing misdiagnosis and reducing the consequences of misdiagnosis, through the provision of accessible, affordable, appropriate quality laboratory services, therapy and community rehabilitation services for people with Castlemans disease, prioritising idiopathic patients.
